Alnwick, Bamburgh & Holy Island

“Breathes there the man with soul so dead, Who never to himself hath said, This is my now, my native land.”   Sir Walter Scott, famous son of the Scottish Borders.

This tour through the Scottish Borders and Northumberland combines the pretty seaside village of Bamburgh with the magnificence of the 5th century Alnwick Castle, famous as a key location for Harry Potter and home to a wealth of history, intrigue and battles. The tidal Holy Island, famous for its 16th century castle and religious significance dating back to medieval times is also a highlight of this tour.
