About Us

Austin Travel Group incorporates two sister companies, Scotline Tours and Capital Coaches, the former specializing in sightseeing coach tours in Scotland and the latter offering a wide range of corporate and private coach services.

Austin Travel Group was established in 1966. We have wide experience in the travel and tourism industry and our customers benefit from it.

Scotline Tours has been a family run business for a long time. After several successful years providing package holidays, we began our sightseeing and coach tours of Scotland.

Our drivers and professional guides are well versed in the history of Scotland, which they are happy to share with visitors as they show them the beauty of the Scottish countryside. You can also benefit from our staff years of experience in providing tours of Scotland for our visitors. Throughout the years we have gained an excellent reputation with the various Edinburgh accommodation providers, hotels and guest houses, for providing a comprehensive and inexpensive coach tour programme from Edinburgh.

Our Services

We offer tours operating on a daily basis throughout the year. Our tour programme consists of a range of full day tours of Scotland and we also organise tailor made extended tours (from our sister company Capital Coaches) with all areas of Scotland being covered. And last but not least we also provide transfers and transport for events and conferences.

Our scheduled tours leave from the Edinburgh office on the Royal Mile, the heart of the tourist scene in Edinburgh and we are proud to offer our customers the opportunity of touring in style with us.

We strive to cover all our customers need and to this end we also offer a variety of additional services: The Bureau de Change in our Edinburgh High Street office offers good tourist rates, with no commission charged. Moreover, we happily act as a tourist information centre providing helpful advice on what to see and do within the City and give visitors advice on the rest of Scotland. Finally, we have a small retail section in our shop on the Royal Mile where we offer a selection of Scottish gifts.

Our Vehicles

Our modern fleet of luxury coaches accommodate 30, 32, 49, 59 and 61 passengers. All our coaches are air conditioned with reclining seats (with seatbelts), PA System/Courier Seat and some of them DVD, video and toilet facilities. Our fleet is constantly updated with new acquisitions and all our vehicles are less than 2 years old.

Our coaches set the standard in coach transportation for every occasion. All our drivers are smartly dressed in uniform and all our coaches are maintained to a high standard.
