LOCH LOMOND, THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS & STIRLING CASTLE ...
The tour leaves Edinburgh at 09.00 hours and takes us to Glasgow for a short Panoramic Tour of the City. This is Scotland's largest city. You will see landmarks such as the Cathedral, George Square and the University. After crossing the River Clyde and a short drive we arrive at Loch Lomond where you will have the opportunity to take photographs and view the Loch and beautiful scenery. At the village of Balloch on the banks of Loch Lomond you will be able to take an optional Boat Cruise or wander round the village before heading for the wonderful picturesque village of Aberfoyle and your lunch stop. Aberfoyle is the gateway to The Trossachs. After lunch we continue on our journey through this beautiful area with stops for photographs of the Lochs and Glens. This is the home of Rob Roy MacGregor, one of Scotland's most famous characters, you will also hear stories about William Wallace, immortalised in the film "Braveheart". Our last stop of the day is at Stirling Castle. Here you will have the opportunity to visit or just admire the scenery from the esplanade. Stirling Castle is famous for it's connections with William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. On our way home our coach passes LINLITHGOW PALACE the Birth place of Mary Queen of Scots. When we arrive in Edinburgh the tour ends at Waverley Bridge.
