Wallace Monument, Loch Katrine and Central Highlands

This tour takes you to Loch Katrine where you can enjoy the timeless beauty of the Trossachs and the Highlands. (An ideal tour for walking and enjoying outdoor activities) We leave our office at 87 High Street for our guided tour and travel west past Stirling with a glimpse of Stirling Castle high on it’s rock. After a short time we arrive at the impressive tower to Scotland’s greatest freedom fighter William Wallace. The monument, 220 feet high stands proudly on the Abbey Craig overlooking the site of his famous victory at the battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. From the top of the tower there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. From here we make our way to Loch Katrine where you can enjoy the timeless beauty of the Trossachs, with stunning landscapes shaped by nature. Here you can take a cruise on the Loch and admire the beauty of the loch, have lunch by the waterside, walk by the water’s edge or take a short bike ride., all surrounded by our stunning scenery. On leaving this beauty spot we drive through the Trossachs stopping for pictures before arriving at Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots for a brief stop. We return to Edinburgh via the Forth Bridges for a photo stop, arriving in Edinburgh at about 18.00 hours.
